The Tampa Bay Lightning honored Sandy Kennedy as the Lightning Community Hero on November 22, 2023, during the first period the game against the Winnipeg Jets. Sandy, who received a $50,000 donation from the Lightning Foundation and the Lightning Community Heroes program, presented by Jabil, has donated the money to End 68 Hours of Hunger.
