Lake County Chapter Named 2021 Civic Organization of the Year!

Congratulations to Meredith Everett and Tracy Stanek, Co-Coordinators of End 68 Hours of Hunger’s Lake County, OH Chapter. They were awarded the 2021 Civic Organization of the Year. The ladies expressed their gratitude to the community and to the Rotary Club of Willoughby:
“I never thought that when I decided to embark on this journey over 7 years ago, that we would be receiving such an honor like we did today!
The Rotary Club of Willougby named End 68 Hours of Hunger Lake County the 2021 Civic Organization of the Year.
We received beautiful certificates signed from The State of Ohio House of Representatives, Congressman David Joyce, Governor Mike DeWine and Jon Husted, United States Senator Rob Portman the Board of Lake County Commissioners and, a Proclamation from the City of Willougby.
As most of you know, our program is completely anonymous. Unlike other assistance programs, we don’t get to meet any of the children who receive our bags. Sometimes we forget that we really are making a difference and today reminded us of that.
From the bottom of our hearts we’d like to thank those who nominated us and to the Rotary Club – Willoughby, OH for this incredible honor. The luncheon at LaVera was exceptional and everyone made us feel incredibly special.
This was a day that we will never forget.”
