Hope Worldwide Raises $15,000 in Food Donations for End 68 Hours of Hunger

Epping Food Drive

Many thanks to the volunteers of Hope Worldwide for conducting a food drive at the Epping Walmart store which raised more than $15,000 of food for the Northwood, Epping, and Sanborn End 68 Hours of Hunger programs.  One of the organizers, Ken Kruger, wrote this wonderful message to the volunteers who worked many hours over the weekend on this event.

“Dear HOPE worldwide and End 68 Hours of Hunger Volunteers,

It was inspiring to see the generosity of the community pour out for families and children in need.  Approximately 150 families have HOPE that they can put food on the table.  One woman shared a story as she donated a basket of food.  She said, “I was there once in need of food.  I remember, I have been there.  I was paid a little extra in my pay check this week and now I know why.”

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.   2 Corinthians 9:12

The total weekend food and cash donations totaled $15,142.24.  That is amazing!

Special thanks to Walmart and NH Print & Mail Services for their support. And thank you to WMUR and iHeartRadio for their advertisements.   Thank you again for serving…also thank you for helping the community participate in the act of giving and compassion for those whose value is based on their individual worth not their wealth.”

If you and your organization would like to host a food drive, please let the program closest to you know!
