Dracut's Own Hometown Hero!

Congratulations to our first Hometown Hero, Andrea Connelly, of Dracut! Andrea was nominated by Sharon Pimentel and Sandra Perry for the work she does with END 68 HOURS of Hunger Dracut.

End 68 Hours of Hunger is a nationwide effort to confront the approximate 68 hours of hunger that some children experience between the lunch they receive at school on Friday and the breakfast they receive at school on Monday morning. Andrea brought the program to Dracut schools in 2014, and continues to lead the program’s efforts and its volunteers to make it successful. Her dedication to the organization has earned her a $250 prize! Congratulations, Andrea!
