End 68 Hours of Hunger Summer Program: Monthly Food Distribution Boxes
As the school year comes to a close, End 68 Hours of Hunger – Amherst & Mont Vernon is proud to continue supporting local families through our Summer Program. During the summer months, when children may not have
access to school meals, we will be offering monthly distribution boxes filled with non-perishable food items to help individuals and families in our community.
Families who register for the program can pick up one food box each month at either the Amherst Town Library or Share Outreach, Inc in Milford. Distribution dates for 2026 are:
June 17 & 18
July 8 & 9
August 5 & 6
These monthly boxes are designed to provide pantry staples and help bridge the gap during the summer months.
While one box may seem small, it can make a meaningful difference for families facing food insecurity.
Registration is required to
participate in the program.
To sign up or learn more, please contact Krystal Gendreau at Kgendreau@sau39.org.
Together, we can continue to nourish our community and ensure that local children and families have access to food throughout the summer.
Thank you for helping us make a difference—one box, one family, and one month at a time.
