Somersworth Program

APPRECIATION POST: Thank you to all the volunteers who came out tonight to fill our new storage and packing facility at Somersworth High School!

We’re so excited about our new space and the opportunity to place mini food pantries in the high school and Somersworth Middle School. This move will provide our students with access to free meals and snacks for school and home – and it will help raise awareness about food insecurity in our community.

Thank you, Maggie Larson and the entire School Board for making this happen. And BIG thanks to Rionna Corr and NH Hunger Solutions for walking us through the Hannaford Supermarkets Foundation grant process that provided the funds for us to purchase new shelving and bins.

And, of course, we are SO grateful to the Somersworth Housing Authority for providing us with a free space in the Queensbury Building for close to a decade. We wouldn’t be as successful without their kindness and generosity.
It truly takes a village – and we are so proud to call Somersworth our home.

Note: We were so busy tonight that we forgot to take photos. We’re still putting the finishing touches on our new space, so photos to come! In the meantime, here are some snaps of the crew cleaning out our old space in the Queensbury Building a few weeks ago.
