Congratulations to Dina Call for being chosen as one of
Maine’s 20 ‘OUTSTANDING WOMAN’ 2017 for her community contributions
and the End 68 Hours of Hunger Local program.

Dina was interviewed on the Coast93.1 Radio show

“My sister Renee Roy and I started our non-profit chapter of End 68 Hours of Hunger 3 years ago. Our Goal is to End Childhood Hunger One School at a Time. The program is 100% volunteer and 100% donation run.  Every dollar is used to purchase food to be packed in bags (apprx 80 every week) and delivered to each school in the Sacopee Valley District (SAD#55), located in Hiram Maine. The schools then give the food to the children who have food insecurities. I have made it my personal mission and my true passion to make sure no child goes hungry.  With the help of my family and our store, Call’s Shop and Save, I am also privileged to provide Christmas for 3 area families. Our fundraising includes food drives, and our amazing annual event, “End 68 Hours of Hunger Annual Silent Auction and Raffle”.  No child will ever be turned away from receiving food from me.”
